Soft Pastel
I felt like doing something fun with lots of colour, what better then candy! Trying to achieve the translucentness (is this such a word?) in the area where the sun was shinning through the jujubes created a bit of a challenge. It's always such a thrill when you finally get down the exact colours and it works.

ReplyDeleteThank you Cheryl, this was such fun to do, I love working with such brigh colors, very uplifting after a long winter. The one red jujube in the shadow of the bowl is bothering me so I will make a little adjustment to it and then get this one framed.
ReplyDeleteIt sure does work! This is a wonderful painting - so realistic that it's actually making my mouth water! The choice of black for the bowl was brilliant in terms of capturing the reflected colours. I have no doubt that those on the art walk were most impressed.
