I came across a botanical garden at the Ritz Carlton at Kapalua, Maui and found this tiny pineapple, the total length was probably only about 8 inches.

We had heavy rains this weekend so there was no camera time except to take progress shots of a couple of  paintings that i'm working on.  When I go out to shoot I usually come home with 400 to 500 images, only a handful are worth showing, a large amount get deleted, but there the others I keep as possible paintings, needless to say I have a lot of possible paintings. :)

I seem to have a growing collection of doors, windows, and archways.  Most of them are from more tropical chimes where the weather allows for long dry periods and living outdoors is the norm.  My curiosity is always aroused when I come to wrought iron gates,  I just cannot resist sneaking a peek inside.
