181/365 Captured Moments - Find the Herons

Sturgeon Bank Richmond - I didn't actually count the herons I was to busy snapping pictures but at a guess I would say there were about 12 of them all scattered about in this area.

    1. Hi Dirk, Yes according to the Richmond BC Parks website Sturgeon Banks is a 21,525 acre estuary located on the banks of the Fraser River and Strait of Georgia. It is an important part of the Pacific Flyway, with 1.4 million birds migrating through the area annually and provides excellent habitat for nesting birds. Now that I know about it I will be sure to visit throughout the seasons.
